Engaging Capitol

Ever since my first trip to the USA back in 2006 I've been amazed by this building. I find there is something very American about it...perhaps it's the similarities between it and the US Capitol. It's not the first state Capitol (here have been five before it, two in Jefferson City that burned down....one struck by lighting... two more in St Louis, and one in St Charles), but Missouri really went all out with this one.

Even though I've spent a lot of time in Jefferson City over the years, I've never found the time to head down and have a good look around the building (kids!). Earlier this week I finally got a little time to myself to walk around the Capitol with my camera and get a couple of pics.
